FROM DR. ALAN LITSEY:
My friend Daoud Boone and I are working together. He has been wrongfully incarcerated for the past 18 years on a capital murder charge. His parents, Richard and Mary Boone, were long-time civil rights activists. Each year, his hometown of Montgomery celebrates his late father on Richard Boone Day.
Daoud has written a play to share his story. Would you be available to join a small group of friends from the theatre and justice communities to read the play and offer feedback? (We’d like to record the session for the playwright.)
